• Trapping Assessments: Loaning a trap from council but not having success? Sometimes an experienced dominant pig can deter the others from a trap. I can use information collected from my 4G trail cameras to remove these wiser pigs so the rest can be trapped. I can also help with set up and positioning of traps so that you have the best chance at success.
• Rapid Callout & Dispatch Services: Humane, low-noise on-site euthanasia of trapped feral pests.

Who is FSBM?

I'm Jayden, a Cairns local with a passion for the wild. I studied science at James Cook University and have been working closely with governments and primary industries in scientific roles ever since. Through this, I have developed a deep understanding of animal behaviour, biosecurity, and the impacts that pests can have on the environment, public amenity and industry.I have long had a passion for subsistence hunting and fishing, where I can use knowledge built through experience and research to understand my target animal, where it will be, when, and why, to humanely take it to feed my family. I enjoy that I can now take what I have been taught whilst working with other professionals and combine it with what I have learned through my own experiences to help my community.

This technology allows me to work more efficiently, matching my efforts to the target's diurnal behaviour and can provide the added benefit of keeping me out of the way of customer's daytime operations where required.I can work across a range of environments with the utmost care to never cause damage to the property or distress to any livestock. This is ensured by never taking a shot without an effective backstop, obtaining 100% identification of the target before firing, and using a tiered approach in selecting the right tools. A range of high accuracy firearms from silent PCP air-rifles though to large calibre rifles allow me to tailor the response based on the unique environment, sound restrictions and objectives of each job.I am fully Insured & Licensed with $20M Public Liability specifically for ballistic pest control and Occupational Firearms Licensing.

A Scientific Approach

My strengths extend far beyond using state of the art equipment and offering a variety of services. Holding a science degree with emphasis on animals and the environment, followed by eight years working in primary industries and biosecurity, I have built a thorough understanding of biology, ecology, ecosystem dynamics, hydrological and geological patterns, weather, and how these factors interact to influence pest animal behaviour. This, along with strong local knowledge of the region enables me to employ a bespoke approach to every case, predicting animal behaviours leading to maximum efficiency and efficacy.

What's the cost?

Services start from $50 with prices discussed, tailored to each job and agreed upon prior to commencing work. These can be set up as a per animal bounty, hourly, nightly or annually depending on the situation and budget of my client.
I am based in Far North Queensland's Cairns and Tablelands and can offer urgent services in this region. I do also service the rest of Queensland with fast response times.
